News & Events
It has been an amazing
Fifteen Years...
but now it is time to say
Farewell.
On October 25, 2023, members of MHMAA approved the Resolution to "dissolve Morningside Monarchs Alumni Association, Inc. as of June 30, 2024..."
It was with a heavy but joyous heart that members shared
wonderful memories of working together to give back to their alma mater. But after months of discussion, everyone agreed this was the most appropriate time to dissolve the organization.
The Board of Directors sends its gratitude and thanks to:
- MHMAA Members and Friends who donated
funds and volunteered countless hours
to benefit MHS students.
- MHS Administrators, Teachers and Counselors whose
dedication to students made our student learning and
scholarship programs successful.
- AND... most importantly, the hundreds of smart, hard working, inquisitive MHS students whose optimism, gratitude, and determination even when facing difficult challenges and adversity...made us proud.
They will be in our hearts forever.
MHMAA Celebrates!

Student Learning
Programs
Through
Teacher Grants
MHMAA-sponsored Student Learning Programs are
implemented through annual Teacher Grants. Teachers apply
for the grants. The principal and our Board make selections based on merit and need. We also fund projects that are identified
by the principal throughout the year.
Our principal, teachers, administrators, counselors and students
asked us to THANK YOU for your continuing support.
Scholarships and Awards
Thanks to your generosity, we provide
scholarships and awards to seniors and former scholarships recipients in college. In addtion to academic scholarships, MHMAA awards the Craig Silsbee Memorial Trade Tech Scholarship, Torch Awards for service to others, and ASB cards to outstanding citizenship.
Here's a few of our amazing recipients!
MHMAA Annual General Meetings
Alums Reunite at MHS
Fellow alumni, students and teachers join together to learn more about MHMAA and student programs. The best part of the day is sharing lunch with the amazing students selected for outstanding citizenship. Each student is awarded an ASB card, which provides free admission to sports and artistic events throughout the year. The meeting concludes with Board member elections. See About Us
Earl and Anna Broady Foundation
Gifts MHMAA
Scholarship Recipients
The expressed wish of Earl and Anna Broady was to have
their Foundation help worthy minority students attend college. Earl died in 1992, and with Anna's recent death, the Foundation was activated. After several meetings, the Trustees of the Earl and Anna Broady Foundation decided to gift our scholarship recipients. We are so grateful for the gifts to MHMAA for seniors and college students. It is truly an honor and a heartwarming experience to work with the Trustees of the Earl and Anna Broady Foundation.
Many thanks to the
Earl and Anna Broady Foundation for Helping Make College Dreams Come True!
We are thankful for the many dedicated teachers at
our alma mater. MHMAA honors them at an Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. A time to relax,
visit with fellow teachers and meet alumni.
So deserving! So much fun!
